Jet Blue has announced they will be the first carrier to offer international service—from Westchester Airport to the Bahamas. Flights, set to begin Nov. 15, 2011, are on sale now at www.jetblue.com/new for $129 each way for travel Nov. 15, 2011 – Feb. 15, 2012. Book those trips to Atlantis now!

2. Assemblyman Castelli, Senator Ball to attend town board meeting tonight

Castelli is to present the 2010 police service awards; Ball plans to give a legislative update. Other items on the agenda include a request to replace a Yield Sign with a Stop Sign on Bedford Center Road at Bedford Cross. The meeting begins at 8 p.m. and is preceded by a 7 p.m. work session on the budget. Tune in for our report tomorrow.

5. Sparkle for a Cause tonight benefits the Amy Marie Crabtree Foundation

In honor of their mother’s birthday, “Team Amy” invites locals to Crabtree’s Kittle House for a BBQ Picnic and Party. You can learn about Team Amy’s mission and initiatives. For a tax deductible, $60 suggested donation there is an open bar of wine, beer, and sangria and a barbecue buffet. The party starts in Amy’s Garden and will move downstairs at dinner time. It’s from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Call 666-8044 for more information.
