altSusan Lawrence Gourmet Foods- Gourmet is absolutely the right word to describe the food offered at Susan Lawrence Gourmet Foods.  With a menu that changes daily, offering a deliciously distinct collection of salads, sandwiches and more, Susan Lawrence provides a great lunch or dinner within its glass display cases.  The pastries, which include cakes and cookies, are a great hit with kids and adults with a sweet tooth.  The store supplies tables inside and out, so you can easily sit down and eat there in the garden-inspired atmosphere, or choose to take it home and enjoy the wonderful food in the comfort of your own kitchen. Quaker Hill Tavern- This family-oriented bistro certainly does not lack for hometown quality.  In addition to its location at the center of Chappaqua, Quaker Hill Tavern also exudes Chappaqua’s charm and familial essence.  It is a restaurant that allows kids to eat for free on Monday nights, and with foods like burgers and great chicken wings, who could not find something to enjoy?  The food is great and, with a full bar separate from the restaurant, Quaker Hill Tavern is also a good place to relax after work.  Upscale, but not uptight, Quaker Hill Tavern is a fabulous place to dine.

Villarina’s Pasta & Deli- A favorite amongst high school students and parents alike, Villarina’s Pasta & Deli offers delicious wraps, pastas and salads.  With inexpensive (and discounted for students) wraps affectionately named the “Greeley” (filled with grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese, and roasted red peppers) and the “Fox Laner” (filled with breaded chicken, Muenster cheese and honey mustard), Villarina’s has been a hit ever since it moved to the center of Chappaqua.  The staff there is friendly and funny, and you will always leave Villarina’s with a smile.  Enjoy the food in the actual shop, or take it outside and enjoy it as a picnic on the Robert E. Bell Middle School picnic tables out back.

The Kittle House- The actual house has existed since 1790, and holds in it one of the most elegant, fine dining experiences in the area.  Step into the foyer and a kind host will happily lead you to your table in the beautiful grand dining room.  Once seated, you should certainly have a glass of wine from the 8-time winner of the Wine Spectator’s Grand Award.  Be sure to come hungry for you will want to enjoy all courses with appetizers like a “Trio of Blue Fin Tuna” or “Parmesan Gnocchi” and entrees like “Miso Glazed Nova Scotia Halibut” or “Citrus Roasted Free Range Organic Chicken.”  If you like the house so much you do not want to leave it, you don’t have to!  The restaurant doubles as an inn and has 12 rooms upstairs.  Be sure not to miss this wonderful restaurant; reservations are suggested.
