General News…The Market is DOWN…Gold is DOWN …OIL IS DOWN …Week/Week:
- The DOW closed Today: at 11,232 …week ago 11,796
- NASDAQ closed Today: at 2442… last week 2572.50
- The Euro (€) Today: $1.32 … week ago $1.35 (in November ‘09 it was $1.54)
- The Pound (£) Today: $1.54 … week ago $1.58
- The Canadian $ Today: $.95… week ago $.97
- The Chinese Yuan (¥) Today is $.1569… week ago $.1573
- GOLD: at 4:pm Today was $1682 per ounce… last week $1726
- SILVER: $30.98 per ounce … last week $32.25
- Crude Oil: at 4pm $97.32 per barrel … last week $97.45
- International Business: Canadian Mfg Sales were up 2.6% in Sept. and in the UK, Oct Retail Sales were up .6%… not much but in right direction… UK unemployment up to 8.3%… On the continent, not so good: EU 3rd Qtr GDP +.2%… EU CPI up .3% for Oct and 3.0%YOY…
- Rasmussen Reports: Obama Approval Rating: Strongly Approve: 22%; Strongly Disapprv: 40%.
Buzz???…What’s Going on in Real Estate Right Now:
· October Housing Permits Nationally: Were up to 653,000…Starts were 628,000… BUT Starts & Permits were running at the rate of 2 million/month in 2006 just before the 2007 landslide.
- WSJ Reported: FHA Mortgages are Available in Greenwich up to $708,000!!!
- With the Stock Market So Crazy… It’s an excellent time to invest in Greenwich Real Estate… There are 88 Single Family Homes on the Market under $1 million… 95 Rentals have rented in the last 45 Days in Greenwich…With the rental market so strong, there are some good returns to be had… Call me …
