He may have been mute during his performances on stage, but the home of Blue Man Group co-founder, Chris Wink, speaks volumes. A David Ling-designed, contemporary masterpiece, Wink’s 3,500-sq ft home in Amagansett, NY has an exterior entirely outfitted in natural wood, and features 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, an open kitchen with skylight, and a gorgeous outdoor entertaining area with a spacious deck, suspended outdoor shower, and a “mushroom shaped pool” which gives the dual advantage of being “great for laps or just relaxing.” Additionally, the home is located just off the ocean, providing unobstructed views of the water from almost every room. There is unfortunately no blue room, blue paint, or blue carpet. But, if the listing photos are at all telling, the new owners can look forward to some very blue skies.
Be it because of the uniquely shaped amenities or breathtaking location, Wink’s oceanfront escape is a prime piece of Amagansett real estate. According to Curbed, however, finding buyers hasn’t been an easy feat for the entertainer. Wink tried selling the home a few years back for $6.85 million. The home is currently listed at $5.75 million – a 16.1 percent discount from the original asking price.
Bill Williams of Sotheby’s International Realty is the listing agent.
