South Salem NY Real Estate | Case Against Four Lewisboro Teens Headed to White Plains – Bedford-Katonah, NY Patch

Lawyers convened again at the Lewisboro Town Court for the last time regarding the felony charges that four teens face after being accused of painting swastikas on the home of a Jewish family in South Salem on June 9.

The four young men, Michael Trapasso, 17, of South Salem; Chris Grispin, 17, of South Salem, Daniel Mitchell, 17, of Cross River and Michael Skalaski, 18, of Goldens Bridge, signed paperwork which moves the case for adjudication to the Westchester County Court.

Grispin, Mitchell, Skalaski and Trapasso face first-degree counts of aggravated harassment and third-degree counts of criminal mischief, felonies, for their alleged actions on June 9. In addition to painting anti-Semitic slurs and Swastikas on the home of a Jewish family, the four are also accused of spray-painting graffiti of a sexual nature on a car and postal vehicles parked in Oakridge Commons in Vista, according to police.

“In lieu of having the case head to a grand jury for an indictment, attorneys and prosecutors will meet in White Plains to decide how the case will proceed,” said Lucien Chalfen, spokesperson for the district attorney’s office, on Tuesday.

The four young men also face misdemeanor graffiti-making charges, added July 12, which will proceed in Lewisboro Town Court, Chalfen confirmed. The next court date in Lewisboro is Nov. 28.

Lewisboro Town Justice Susan Simon reminded the young men Monday night that they were expected to continue to abide by a curfew while in the custody of their parents.

Skalaski, who failed to appear at the July 11th court date, now faces an additional felony charge of criminal contempt after violating the 9 p.m. curfew previously set for all of the defendants. He was stopped by a state trooper at 11:30 p.m. on July 9 and had a $600 bail charge following that incident.

Trapasso’s curfew is now extended to 11:30 p.m. on nights that he is working.
