STORM UPDATE – MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2012

 

As of 10:00 am today, 2120 homes have been restored to power.  We still have 54% of our Community in the dark.  There are crews working in all parts of North Castle again today.  Please be aware that crews are specializing on different functions of the restoration effort.  Tree crews, for instance, don’t restring electrical lines.  We are coordinating the logistics of this effort to expedite restoration.  We expect to see major improvements today and tomorrow.

 

The dumpsters in Community Park are being removed this morning and we will return

to normal garbage pick-up schedule. 

 

GAS

All North Castle gas stations are open and we were told have gas.  Stations in North White Plains have minimal lines. 

 

SCHOOLS

Schools are open today.  Please continue to monitor announcements from the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. William Donohue.

SHELTER, SHOWERS, WATER UPDATES

HERGENHAN RECEPTION CENTER:   open 7AM-10PM.

BRYNWOOD:  open for showers and internet

seven am to seven pm. Bring your own towels and toiletries.  Kids 14 and under must be accompanied by parent or adult.

THE GYM:   open for showers MON – THURS 5-7AM and 1-

10PM, FRI 5-7AM  and 1-9PM; SAT 1-5PM; SUN 1-4PM.  Bring your own towels and toiletries.  Kids 14 and under must be accompanied by parent or adult.

WATER:  available 24 hours in front of Hergenhan Recreation  Center,Community  Park, 205 Business Park Drive, Armonk and Banksville Firehouse.
